Police charge man with Firearm Offences - South Penrith

A man will appear in Blacktown Court tomorrow (Thursday 27 February 2020) charged with firearm offences.

At 12.05pm on Wednesday 20 November 2019, the 26-year-old man was arrested with two other men at a service station on Aspen Street, South Penrith by officers from Nepean Police Area Command.

Officers searched the car the three men were seated in and found a sawn-off shot-gun and a bolt- action rifle inside a duffel bag.

Following an investigation, the 26-year-old man was arrested at Silverwater and charged with possessing a shortened firearm, and possessing an unauthorised firearm and possessing a defaced firearm.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Blacktown Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 27 February 2020).
