Police charge man with high range PCA after crashing in school zone - Caringbah

A man has been charged over a crash in Sydney's south yesterday.

About 3pm (Friday 14 October 2022), officers from Sutherland Police Area Command responded to reports of a crash between a car and three parked vehicles inside a school zone on Cawarra Road, Caringbah.

The vehicle allegedly collided with three parked cars before driving away from the scene.

Officers located the vehicle in nearby Booyong Avenue.

The driver – a 57-year-old Caringbah man - was submitted to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive reading.

He was taken to Sutherland Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.274.

The man was charged with drive with high range PCA and granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Friday 28 October 2022.

His licence was also suspended.

There were no reports of injuries.
