Police charge man with high-range PCA after reversing into police car at Toongabbie

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after crashing into a stationary police vehicle in Sydney's north-west yesterday.

About 5.15pm (Thursday 25 April 2019), a 57-year-old man reversed his Volkswagen van into a stationary and unoccupied police vehicle in the car-park of a licenced premises on Station Road, Toongabbie.

He was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result, before being arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was subject to a further breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.162.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of high-range PCA to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 5 June 2019.
