Police Charge Man With Sexual Offences - Central Coast

A man will face court today charged following an investigation by detectives into alleged online sexual offences.

On Monday 11 May 2026, Brisbane Water Police District detectives commenced an investigation following reports a man allegedly used an online chat service to communicate with children.

About 2.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 12 May 2026), detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Gosford.

During a search of the home, police allegedly located and seized several items of interest including electronic devices and clothing.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.

He was charged with five offences,

  • Procure child for unlawful sexual activity (two counts)
  • Intentional incite child >=10 & <16 do sexual act to them (two counts), and
  • Fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Wednesday 13 May 2026).
