Police charge man with wound and kidnapping offences - Wadalba

A man has been charged with wounding and kidnapping offences, following an alleged altercation on the Central Coast.

Around 6pm on Monday (15 April 2019), two men, aged 53 and 55, and a woman, aged 62, were at a caravan park on Johns Road, Wadalba.

During the night, it's alleged a dispute broke out between the two men, where the 62-year-old woman suffered wounds to her leg and the 53-year-old man received wounds to his hands.

The 55-year-old man then allegedly assaulted the woman before threatening them both.

Around 6am on Tuesday (16 April 2019), the 53-year-old man approached a neighbour to call for help.

The woman was taken to Wyong Hospital for treatment before being transported to Royal North Shore Hospital, she is currently in a stable condition.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested a 55-year-old man.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with four offences, including wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and detain for advantage (kidnapping).

He was refused bail to face Wyong Local Court today (Wednesday 17 April 2019).
