Police Charge Pair With Deception Offences

Waurn Ponds police have charged two men with 71 offences after large sums of money were stolen in Victoria and Western Australia.

Police will allege the pair stole approximately $250,000 from seven elderly victims located in Victoria and Western Australia between June 2024 and February 2025.

It is understood the pair made contact with the victims and remotely gained access to their bank accounts.

Officers executed four search warrants at addresses in Corio, Werribee and Geelong West between February and June.

The pair were bailed to appear before Geelong Magistrates' Court on 21 October.
