Six people have been charged following an armed brawl in Sydney's south west yesterday.
About 5.40pm on Saturday (20 September 2025), police were called to a home on Oberon Road, Ruse, following reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and were told a large group of people allegedly armed with hammers, baseball bats, metal poles, shovels and a hatchet were involved in a brawl.
Police will allege the group arrived in several vehicles, before damaging cars at the property and assaulting a 35-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 35-year-old man for significant head injuries before he was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced.
Following inquiries, about 6pm police attended a home Seddon Place, Campbelltown and arrested three men – aged 18, 20 and 57 – who were taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
The 18-year-old man was charged with two counts assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), destroy or damage property, and affray.
The 57-year-old man was charged with affray and two counts destroy or damage property.
They were both refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 21 September 2025).
The 20-year-old man was charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 29 September 2025
A short time later police attended a home on Hillview Street, Narrellan and arrested a 15-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys, before they were taken to Camden Police Station.
The 15-year-old was charged with Affray, common assault and two counts destroy or damage property.
The 17-year-old boy was charged with affray and destroy or damage property.
They were both refused bail to appear before a Childrens Court today (Sunday 21 September 2025).
The other 17-year-old boy was charged with affray and two counts of common assault and granted before a Childrens Court on Monday 29 September 2025.
Numerous weapons alleged to have been used in the offence have been seized and will be forensically examined.
Investigations are ongoing.
