Police Charge Teen After Break And Enters At Taree

A teenage boy has been charged with property offences following alleged break and enters at businesses in Taree on the weekend.

Early morning on Sunday 13 July 2025, police began an investigation into two alleged break and enters, and an attempted break and enter, in the Taree CBD.

Police were told that jewellery and cash were allegedly stolen.

About 5.30pm that same day, police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Manning Street, Taree.

A subsequent search of the boy allegedly revealed 3.79g of cannabis.

He was taken to Taree Police Station, where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, break and enter house etc steal, break and enter dwelling-house etc with intent, and attempt break and enter dwelling-house etc with intent.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court on Monday 14 July 2025, where he was granted strict conditional bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 7 August 2025.
