A teenage boy has been charged over the alleged stabbing of another teen in Sydney's south west last week.
About 5.45pm on Friday 18 September 2026, emergency services were called to Flinders Road, Earlwood, following reports of an assault.
On arrival, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command located a 17-year-old boy with stab wounds to his upper body.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police established a crime scene at a public amenity block in Beaman Park, Earlwood, and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, today (Friday 25 September 2026), investigators arrested a 17-year-old boy at Burwood Police Station, where he was charged with cause wounding/ grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.
He was refused bail to appear before a children's court tomorrow (Saturday 26 September 2026).
