Police Charge Three After Hallam Aggravated Burglary

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three men following an alleged aggravated burglary in Hallam early this morning.

Police were called to reports of unknown offenders entering the garage of an occupied property on Cardamon Drive about 1.35am.

It is alleged they stole gardening tools before fleeing in a Toyota Landcruiser.

The sole occupant of the residence was not injured.

The Landcruiser was allegedly spotted a short time later on the Monash Freeway, near Heatherton Road.

It is alleged the vehicle continued to drive in convoy with a stolen Toyota 86 through the Springvale and Noble Park areas.

Both vehicles came to a stop on Norris Court in Dandenong North, where the alleged occupants fled on foot but were arrested nearby.

A laser-printed firearm was allegedly located inside the Landcruiser.

A 33-year-old Doveton man has been charged with attempted aggravated burglary, burglary, theft from motor vehicle, theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods, possess category e handgun, possess prohibited weapon, negligently deal with proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.

A 34-year-old Hampton Park has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and going equipped to steal.

He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates' Court on 4 March 2026.

A 60-year-old Dandenong North man has been charged with theft of motor vehicle

He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates' Court on 5 March 2026.

The Landcruiser was allegedly stolen from Norwood Road in Caufield North on 17 October.

The Toyota 86 was allegedly stolen from Dandenong Road, Malvern East on 11 October.
