Police charge three after Moe serious assault

Three men have been charged following a serious assault in Moe on Sunday morning.

Police have been told a resident allegedly observed a man acting suspiciously outside a nearby home on Mitchells Street about 5.30am.

A group of men then allegedly confronted the man and a serious assault occurred.

A 31-year-old Moe man was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne where he remains in a critical condition.

A 41-year-old Moe man and a 19-year-old Orbost man have been charged with intentionally cause serious injury and intentionally cause serious injury in circumstances of gross violence.

They have been remanded to appear at Latrobe Magistrates' Court today (6 January).

A 43-year-old Moe man has been charged with recklessly cause serious injury and bailed to appear at court at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing.
