Police charge three men after Greenvale shooting

Echo Taskforce Detectives have now charged the three men as part of an investigation into a drive-by shooting in Greenvale last month.

It will be alleged a firearm was discharged from a vehicle into a residence on Motherwell Avenue in Greenvale on 11 July before driving from the scene.

As the vehicle fled, it is alleged an occupant at the residence fired several shots back in retaliation.

Nobody at the property or in the vehicle was injured, fortunately nor was anyone else in Motherwell Avenue at the time of the incident.

Detectives executed two search warrants in Pascoe Vale and Collingwood this morning as part of this investigation.

A 20-year-old Collingwood man was arrested and subsequently charged with discharge a firearm at a premises - reckless to any person.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrate's Court later today.

A 30-year-old Greenvale man and a 26-year-old Greenvale man have previously been charged in relation to the incident.

They will appear at Melbourne Magistrate's Court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
