Three men will face court today, charged over the alleged kidnapping of another man in Sydney's west overnight.
About 11pm (Monday 31 October 2022), officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were called to a property on Challenger Way, Cranebrook, following a concern for welfare.
Upon arrival, three men attempted to flee the property on foot, before they were arrested with the assistance of PolAir.
Inside the home, police located a 31-year-old man, suffering several injuries, including a suspected broken jaw and numerous other lacerations and bruises.
It's alleged the man had been detained at the home and physically assaulted for several hours prior to the arrival of police.
While serious, the man's injuries are not considered life-threatening, and he is receiving hospital treatment.
A crime scene was established at the property, which is undergoing forensic examinations.
Three men – aged 36, 46, and 59 – were arrested outside the home and have been taken to Penrith Police Station.
The 36-year-old Cranebrook man was charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm.
The 46-year-old Minto man was charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 59-year-old Cranebrook man was charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
All three men have been refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Tuesday 1 November 2022).
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
