Three men have been charged following an alleged brawl and stabbing at a fast-food outlet in Sydney's south west earlier this week.
About 12.30am on Monday 7 September 2026, police were called to Canterbury Hospital, following reports of three men with stab wounds presented at different times.
Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended the scene and spoke to NSW Ambulance paramedics before the three men – two aged 23 and an 18-year-old – were taken to hospitals in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Following inquiries, police will allege that the three men were involved in an altercation outside a fast-food outlet on the corner of Canterbury Road and Fore Street, about 12.10am the same day.
Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command established crime scenes and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following further inquiries, on Tuesday 8 September 2026, the 23-year-old men were both taken to Burwood Police Station, where one man was charged with reckless wounding - in company, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), and affray.
The other man was charged with armed with intent commit indictable offence, reckless wounding, and affray.
The 18-year-old man, who remains in hospital under police guard, has been charged with,
- Reckless wounding - in company,
- Armed with intent commit indictable offence,
- Assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s),
- Affray,
- Drive, licence suspended under s 66 Fines Act, and
- Learner driver not display "L" plates as prescribed.
The three men were all refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 9 September 2026).
