A man and woman will face court today charged following a pursuit in Sydney's south west yesterday.
About 10am yesterday (Sunday 26 October 2025), officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were patrolling the Kingswood area, when they saw a Ford Raptor utility – reportedly stolen from Granville on Thursday 16 October 2025 – on Second Avenue.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle; however, it failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through Orchard Hills towards Liverpool before it was terminated for safety reasons.
A short time later, the vehicle was detected in Liverpool and was monitored by Polair as it travelled through Liverpool and Fairfield before it collided with a Toyota SUV at the intersection of Boyd Street and St Johns Road, pushing the SUV into a power pole,
The occupants of the Ford fled before the 46-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were arrested nearby.
The four occupants of the SUV were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics before one was taken to Liverpool Hospital for minor injuries.
The man and woman were taken to Fairfield Police Station.
He has since been charged with,
- police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously,
- drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous,
- drive motor vehicle during disqualification period,
- use unregistered motor vehicle on road,
- use motor vehicle with unauthorised number plate affixed,
- fail to return number - plates after registration cancelled,
- drive conveyance taken without consent of owner,
- not give particulars to other driver,
- motor vehicle exceed speed greater than 45 km/h – radar,
- goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (not motor vehicle), and
- breach of bail.
She was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
Both were refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today (Monday 27 October 2025).
