Police charge two for attempted carjacking in St Kilda

Police have charged two men following an alleged attempted carjacking in St Kilda on Tuesday night.

The men were arrested shortly after an incident in a car park off Marine Parade about 11.30pm on 2 November.

They have since been interviewed and charged.

A 19-year-old Taylors Hill man has been charged with attempted aggravated carjacking, intentionally cause injury, possess drug of dependence, and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 21 January 2021.

A 16-year-old St Albans youth has been charged with attempted aggravated carjacking and intentionally cause injury.

He has been bailed to appear a children's court at a later date.
