Police charge two men after stabbing at Ryde

Two men have been charged over a stabbing at Ryde yesterday.

About 4.45pm (Monday 26 July 2021), emergency services were called to a park on Cressy Road, Ryde, after reports of an assault.

On arrival officers found a 23-year-old man suffering stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a stable condition with a collapsed lung, and stab wounds to his back and arm.

Investigations were commenced by officers from Ryde Police Area Command resulting in the arrest of two men, aged 23 and 19, not far from the scene on Malvina Road, Ryde.

They were taken to Ryde Police Station where they were both charged with robbery in company cause wounding/GBH.

They were refused bail and will appear in Hornsby Local Court today (Tuesday 27 July 2021)
