Police charge two men after three separate assaults in Sydney's CBD

Two men have been charged over three separate alleged assaults in Sydney's CBD this month.

About 1.45pm on Wednesday 16 October 2019, a 36-year-old man was standing on George Street when he was approached by two men.

One of the men allegedly activated a hand-held horn in his left ear, while the second man filmed the incident.

The victim later required medical treatment for a minor injury to his ear.

About 1.40pm on Monday 21 October 2019, two men approached a 53-year-old woman sitting on a public bench at Darling Harbour.

One of the men allegedly touched her several times with a hand-held feather duster, while the second man filmed the interaction.

About 11.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 22 October 2019), a 35-year-old woman was walking along Bathurst Street when a man began walking beside her. The woman reported hearing a sneezing sound and feeling water sprayed on her face, neck and shirt.

A second man also filmed this incident.

About 9.30pm last night, a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old man attended Day Street Police Station, where they were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and common assault.

The 25-year-old man was also charged with destroy or damage property, which relates to an incident at Ingleburn on Friday 11 October 2019.

Both men were granted conditional bail and are due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 November 2019.
