Police charge two over Sydney CBD stabbing

Two teenagers have been charged after two men were stabbed in Sydney's CBD last month.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation after two men were allegedly stabbed following an altercation on Pitt Street about 8.15pm on Saturday 21 September 2019.

Police attended Sydney Hospital, about 9.45pm (Saturday 21 September 2019), after a 24-year-old man suffering a wound to his back presented for treatment.

He was transferred to St George Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.

A second 24-year-old man presented to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with wounds to his right arm and shoulder.

Both have since been released from hospital.

Following inquiries, investigators executed search warrants at homes in Tregear and Riverstone today (Friday 4 October 2019).

A 16-year-old youth was arrested at the Riverstone home and taken to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged with affray.

A 14-year-old youth attended Riverstone Police Station and he was charged with affray.

Both were granted conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Tuesday 29 October 2019.

Investigations into the incident continue.
