Police charge two women after assault at Parramatta

Two women have been charged following an alleged assault at a Parramatta shopping centre.

About 5.30pm on Monday (13 February 2023), police responded to reports of a brawl at a shopping centre on Church Street.

One of the shopkeepers suffered minor injuries; however, did not require treatment.

A short time later, two females – aged 19 and 22 – returned to the store and were arrested by police.

The younger woman has been issued a court attendance notice for common assault and two counts of shoplifting.

The older woman has been issued a court attendance notice for common assault.

They are both due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 29 March 2023.
