Police Charge Woman After Hotel Stabbing In Sydney

A woman will face court charged following a stabbing at a hotel in the Sydney CBD this morning.

About 2.20am today (Saturday 26 July 2025), emergency services were called to a hotel on Macquarie Street, Sydney, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and found a 30-year-old woman with stab wounds to her upper body.

She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for multiple stab wounds before she was taken to St Vincents Hospital in a stable condition.

A 27-year-old woman sustained minor injuries after she was allegedly assaulted attempting to intervene.

She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police Station where she was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 26 July 2025).

All three women are known to each other.
