Police charge woman after man stabbed at Randwick

A woman has been charged after a man was stabbed in Randwick yesterday.

About 6.30pm on Monday 27 March 2023, emergency services were called to Bundock Street, Randwick, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and were told a man believed to be aged in his 30s had been allegedly stabbed by a woman.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated the man for a laceration to his shoulder, before he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established, and officers commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police attended an address on Elphinstone Road, South Coogee, where they arrested a 37-year-old woman.

The woman was taken to Maroubra Police Station where she was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court today (Tuesday 28 March 2023).
