Police have charged a woman after an alleged puppy theft in South Yarra earlier this week.
It is alleged Dora, the 10-month-old black cavoodle, was untied from a pole outside a shopping complex on Chapel Street about 3.25pm on Monday, 9 March.
After vision was widely shared, a call to Crime Stoppers from a member of the public led officers to a house on Barnett Grove in Noble Park this morning.
Dora was located uninjured and returned to her family.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested at the property.
She was charged with theft.
The Noble Park woman was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on 28 September 2026.
A 27-year-old Richmond woman self-presented at a police station this afternoon.
She was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
Police believe one female offender remains outstanding at this stage.
She is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in her 20s with long brown hair.
The woman was seen wearing a black t-shirt and adidas branded tracksuit pants.
