Police Charge Woman After Stabbing At Rosebery

A woman will face court charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south.

About 6.45pm on Saturday (10 January 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Botany Road, Rosebery.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were told that a 33-year-old woman allegedly armed with a knife, approached a 42-year-old woman known to her, before repeatedly assaulting her and leaving the scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 42-year-old woman for lacerations to her arm before she was taken to Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was been established and investigations commenced.

Following inquiries, about 10.40pm yesterday (Sunday 11 January 2026), police attended a home on Malabar Road, Maroubra and arrested the 33-year-old woman.

She was taken to Maroubra Police Station where she was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).

She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Monday 12 January 2026).
