Police charge woman after stabbing - Casula

A woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man in Sydney's south west yesterday.

About 8.40pm (Thursday 22 April 2021), a 19-year-old man drove to Fitzpatrick Crescent to meet a woman he had been communicating with on social media.

Police will allege the woman entered the passenger seat, as three armed males approached the rear of the Subaru.

The man accelerated to escape when the woman allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the man in the stomach.

The injured man crashed into a parked trailer and two parked cars before jumping a fence into Jacaranda Crescent.

A nearby resident located and rendered first aid to the man before calling emergency services.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital and underwent surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Following inquiries, officers from Liverpool Police Area Command arrested a 20-year-old woman yesterday afternoon (Friday 23 April 2021) at a home in Casula. She was taken to Liverpool Police Station where she was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail and is due to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 24 April 2021).
