Police charge woman in connection to Huonville fatal pedestrian crash in February

A complex investigation into the death of a 26-year-old man at Huonville in February has concluded.

A 34-year-old woman from Lucaston will face charges in relation to the fatal pedestrian crash which occurred on 29 February at Huonville. The crash resulted in the death of 26-year-old local man, Jari Wise.

As is normal procedure for investigations of this nature, the investigation file was referred to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for assessment.

The woman will face charges of dangerous driving, driving while exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit, and failing to remain at the scene of a crash. She will appear on these charges in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 2 October 2020.
