Police have charged a 14- year-old youth with Armed Robbery following an incident in Liverpool Street, Hobart on 29 October.
About 8.15pm the youth entered a shop wearing a black ski mask over his face and demanded cigarettes whilst brandishing a knife toward the store attendant.
The person was not injured during the attempted robbery but was shaken by the experience.
The youth has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Courts.
