Around 3.30am yesterday, police responded to reports of a suspicious person appearing to break in to vehicles on Haines Place at Devonport.
On attendance, police located and arrested a 16-year-old male youth. He has been charged with several offences and will appear before the Youth Justice Court at a later date.
Police will allege the youth has committed 11 burglaries, 2 attempted burglaries, 8 stealing's and 10 computer related frauds.
Further, police will allege the motor vehicle offences occurred in a number of areas in Devonport including Sorell Street, Percy Street, Oldaker Street, Nixon Street, Best Street and Haines Place.
Anyone with information, CCTV footage relating to the offences, or further reports of burglary, are asked to contact Devonport CIB on 131 444.
