Police concerned for missing man at Illawarra

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Wollongong/Berkeley area.

Stephen Scott, aged 58, was last seen walking onto a north bound train to Central Station at Wollongong Train Station on Platform 1 about 4.30pm last Friday (25 October 2019).

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District Area were notified and have commenced an investigation.

Family and police hold concern for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Mr Scott is described as having a slim build, short brown hair and is unshaven. He was last seen wearing blue denim jeans ripped at both knees, blue flannelette jumper with a pale green jumper underneath the flannelette, and yellow and green coloured "Australia" themed thongs.

He is known to frequent the Berkeley and Wollongong areas, as well as parts of northern NSW.

Anyone who may have sighted Mr Scott or may have information about his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact Lake Illawarra Police Station on (02) 4232 5599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
