Police execute search warrant in Darwin

As part of ongoing targeting of the illicit activities of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMCG), the Northern Territory Police, Gangs Task Force executed a search warrant at the Bandidos OMCG Clubhouse in Virginia yesterday.

Investigators seized an unregistered shotgun that was unsecured and in a loaded condition, a large quantity of ammunition and a quantity of cannabis.

Officer in Charge of the Drug and Organised Crime Division, Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said,

'Bikies consider themselves as being "outside the law" and police make no apology for cracking down on them and seizing illegal guns and other items. This crackdown will continue as the Gangs Task Force carry on their efforts to disrupt and dismantle Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs in the Northern Territory."

"Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs are not welcome in the Northern Territory and we will do everything in our power to shut them down"

Investigations are continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
