Police are appealing for public assistance for information about a concern for welfare at Spoon Bay north of Terrigal.
About 3pm today (Saturday 27 April 2019), police attended Spoon Bay after personal items, including clothing, were located on the edge of the shoreline.
A search of the area was made with the assistance of Marine Area Command, Surf Life Saving Club and Westpac helicopter; however, no-one was located.
A witness informed police the items were at the location at midday.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
