Police Hunt Clues in Tennant Creek Robbery 27 August

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Tennant Creek earlier today.

Around 5:50am, it is alleged a group of up to eight unknown females approached a 44-year-old female who was sitting in her parked car at a petrol station on Paterson Street. The group stood in front of the vehicle, preventing the victim from driving away, before opening the vehicle's door and unsuccessfully attempting to take the keys from the ignition. One of the offenders allegedly stole the victim's bag containing money and personal items from the rear seat.

The victim suffered minor bruising to her arm as a result of the incident but did not require medical treatment.

The offenders fled the scene on foot and remain outstanding.
