Police are searching a Broadmeadows park this morning as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Sunbury man Joshua Bishop.
Detectives from Hume Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) and Missing Persons Squad, as well as the Mounted Branch, Search and Rescue Squad and SES are currently searching the Broadmeadows Valley Park on Barry Road.
Joshua's phone was last tracked to this park on 27 May, which was previously searched by police on 4 June in an effort to locate any trace of Joshua.
The 23-year-old was last seen in Lalor Crescent about 9:30pm on Tuesday, 27 May by his housemate.
He was subsequently reported missing by his mother two days later on 29 May.
Police and family remain seriously concerned for Joshua's welfare and his disappearance is believed to be completely out of character.
His phone and bank accounts still have not been accessed, and he has not been in contact with family or friends.
At this time, the circumstances of Joshua's disappearance are unclear and police have not been able to rule out that it may be suspicious.
Investigators and family are increasingly concerned given the passage of time with no contact from Joshua.
His disappearance is being investigated by detectives from Hume CIU with support from the Missing Persons Squad.
Joshua has never been reported missing before and is not known to police, however detectives are investigating whether he has been involved in criminal activity.
Police have re-released images of Joshua in the hope someone can provide information on his disappearance or his current whereabouts.
Joshua is Caucasian and described as being of average build with short blonde hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a black singlet and tracksuit pants.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about Joshua's disappearance, or who has seen him since 27 May.
