Police Hunt Tips in Katherine Assault Case 4 September

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Katherine last night.

At around 8:10pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received reports that a 68-year-old man had been seriously assaulted at a residence on Fordham Court, Katherine East.

Emergency services attended, and the victim was conveyed to Katherine District Hospital with injuries to his upper body and is expected to be conveyed to Darwin for further treatment.

Investigations indicate a fight broke out involving multiple people, during which the man was physically assaulted by a man believed to be known to him.
