Police are investigating after a police car was struck by a car in Point Cook early this morning, Victoria Police say.
The unmarked police vehicle was travelling north on Broadwalk Boulevard when it entered the intersection with Dunnings Road.
A black Passat station wagon, travelling west on Dunnings Road, entered the intersection against a red light, colliding with the police vehicle at about 4.15am.
Four people fled the stationwagon at the time of the collision.
Two male teenagers are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Both the policeman and policewoman have been taken by ambulance to hospital with minor injuries.
