Police investigate after domestic-related stabbing at Woy Woy

Police are investigating after a domestic-related stabbing on the state's Central Coast.

About 1.40pm today (Sunday 12 September 2021), emergency services were called to a unit at Railway Street, Woy Woy, following reports of a domestic-related stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 74-year-old man with an injury to his head. He declined medical treatment and is assisting police with inquiries.

A 24-year-old man was located suffering a stab wound to his stomach and injuries to his hands. He has been taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition and remains under police guard.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The men are known to each other.
