Police investigate aggravated robbery involving a Rolex watch - Potts Point

Investigators are appealing for public assistance for information following an aggravated robbery in Sydney yesterday.

Police have been told about 1pm (Wednesday 7 August 2019), a 30-year-old man met with an unknown male on Kellett Street, Potts Point, who had contacted him regarding an online advertisement for a Rolex watch.

During the meeting, the male ripped the watch off the 30-year-old's wrist and attempted to run away.

The pair were involved in a physical altercation, where the male assaulted the man, before letting go of the watch and fleeing the scene.

The watch was recovered but suffered damage.

Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

The man is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, about 165cm tall, of an athletic build, with black hair and a beard.
