Police investigate armed robbery at Berserker

Rockhampton detectives have charged a man following the alleged armed robbery of a hotel at Berserker last night.

Around 8pm (February 17), three armed men entered a Lakes Creek Road hotel and allegedly threatened a 22-year-old female staff member.

A man, who was armed with a knife, allegedly reached over the counter and stole a sum of money before all three fled the scene on foot along Water Street.

An 18-year-old Rockhampton man was located by a police dog a short time later at Koongal and taken into custody.

The man has been charged with armed robbery in company and enter premises and commit an indictable offence. He is due to in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
