Police investigate armed robbery at Gold Coast

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a business on Kaleena Street in Tugun last night, July 16.

Initial investigations indicate a man entered the address just before 7pm before threatening a staff member with a knife and demanding he hand over cash from the register.

The male victim complied and was not injured in the incident.

The offender then fled the scene with a sum of cash.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180cm tall, with a slim build and was wearing a black beanie, black jumper, and black pants.

Police are investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
