Police investigate armed robbery at Kelso

Police have arrested three teenagers following the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store in Townsville this afternoon.

It will be alleged just before 4pm, two boys and a girl stole food items at the Riverway Drive business at Kelso.

When a female shop attendant confronted the group, one of boys allegedly raised his shirt to reveal what appeared to be a handgun before the trio left the store.

Officers quickly attended the scene and arrested two boys, aged 17 and 13, and a 15-year-old girl nearby.

Police seized a gel blaster pistol.

No one was injured during the incident.
