Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Manunda 29 June

Police have charged two teenagers following an incident in Manunda on Saturday, 27 June.

It will be alleged around 5.30am, an 18-year-old Manunda man and a 15-year-old Manunda threatened a 53-year-old Manoora woman at a Pease Street service station and stole her MG M3.

The woman sustained minor injuries.

That afternoon, police attended a Mayers Street unit and arrested both teenagers.

The 18-year-old Manunda man was charged with one count each of robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and unlicenced driving. Police opposed bail and he is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, 29 June.

The 15-year-old girl was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing. She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Children's Court on 14 July.

Investigations are ongoing.
