Police investigate armed robbery at Maroochydore

Police are seeking public assistance to identify three people involved in an armed robbery at Maroochydore last night, August 11.

A delivery driver was looking for an address at Primary School Court when he was flagged down by a man and two women just after 8:30pm.

The man then produced a knife and demanded that the 19-year-old man exit the vehicle. The group then left the scene in the stolen vehicle.

The driver was not physically injured.

A short time later, the vehicle failed to stop when police attempted to intercept it on Nambour Road. The vehicle was found abandoned on Maroubra Street just before 10:30pm.

The man is described as a 19-20-year-old wearing short Adidas pants, dark long-sleeved shirt and a dark bucket cap. No descriptions are available of the accompanying women.
