Police investigate armed robbery at Waterloo

Police have established a crime scene and an investigation is underway following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Waterloo early this morning.

About 2.40am (Tuesday 10 March 2020), two people, one armed with a knife, entered the store of Potter Street and threatened the male shop attendant.

The pair stole cash and cigarettes before running out of the store and into a waiting white sedan that was parked outside.

The employee was not hurt during the robbery.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command will conduct further inquiries and would like to speak with anyone who may assist.
