Police investigate assault during football match in Murtoa

Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Murtoa on Saturday (1 June).

It is believed a 22-year-old Horsham man was assaulted during a football match which occurred on Lake Street about 2pm.

A 27-year-old Minyip man was arrested and interviewed by police on Saturday.

He has been released pending further enquiries.

The Horsham man sustained non-life threatening facial injuries and was taken to hospital.
