Police investigate Bentleigh East aggravated burglary

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred in Bentleigh East this week.

Investigators have been told a man broke into a property on North Road on 20 January about 3.30pm.

The man unlocked the back door and disturbed a woman sleeping inside before fleeing the scene.

Investigators believe the man attended a fast food restaurant on North Road fifteen minutes before the incident at about 3.15pm.

He was seen arriving in a dark blue Ford sedan.

The man is perceived as being Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, about 170cm tall, with a medium build and a bald head.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, grey tracksuit pants, white runners and a black baseball cap.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of a vehicle and a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
