Police investigate Broadmeadows carjacking

Detectives from Hume Crime Investigation Unit are releasing CCTV footage following a carjacking in Broadmeadows last month.

Investigators have been told the victim, a 19-year-old Hoppers Crossing man, was dragged from his vehicle on Graham Street about 10.40pm on 29 March.

The victim ran from the scene and was chased but the unknown male offender who returned to the silver Mercedes Coupe CL180 and drove away.

The vehicle was located in Warnock Street, Broadmeadows the following day, but the offender remains outstanding.

He was perceived to be of middle eastern appearance, about 180cm tall, with a bald head and a beard.

Detectives have released CCTV of a male they believe could assist with their enquiries in the hope that someone can provide information on his identity and whereabouts.
