Police Investigate Brunswick Hit-run

Police are investigating after a car struck a pedestrian, collided with a vehicle and crashed into two parked cars in Brunswick overnight.

It is understood a male pedestrian was struck by a black Yaris at the intersection of Sydney Road and Albert Street just before midnight.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and continued east on Albert Street.

A short time later, the Yaris collided with another vehicle which was travelling west.

It then crashed into two parked cars.

There were no other reported injuries.

Police were told the three occupants of the Yaris dumped the car at the scene and fled on foot towards Lygon Street.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
