Police investigate collision on Western Ring Road

Brimbank Highway Patrol officers are appealing for public assistance following a collision that caused a car to flip in Derrimut last night.

It is believed a grey Ford Falcon sedan was travelling along the Western Ring Road when it collided with a blue Ford Mondeo station wagon near the Fitzgerald Road exit just before 10.30pm.

The collision caused the Falcon to flip onto its roof.

The male driver and three passengers were not seriously injured.

The male driver and sole occupant of the Mondeo was not injured.

The driver of the Falcon, a 19-year-old Cranbourne East man was arrested on scene and interviewed.

He was released and is expected to be charged on summons with reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have dash cam footage.
