Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad are investigating following a fatal car fire in Cranbourne West last night.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Western Port Highway about 7.55pm on Thursday, 24 March.
After extinguishing the fire, three bodies were located inside the vehicle.
The trio are still to be formally identified.
The exact circumstances leading up to the fire are still being determined, however police are not looking for anyone else at this time.
Investigators are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage of the fire.
