Police are investigating after a vehicle was involved in two crashes at Woodville and Thebarton last night.
About 9pm on Friday 9 October, witnesses reported a Nissan Patrol struck a Stobie pole on Woodville Road, Woodville before continuing east along Port Road.
The collision brought down power lines, causing a power outage in the area and affecting multiple sets of traffic lights.
Port Road was closed with diversions for citybound traffic while SA Power Networks attended and repaired the damaged infrastructure.
A couple of minutes later, a second crash was reported at Port Road and James Congdon Drive, Thebarton after the Nissan Patrol collided with a Kia station wagon.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
Investigations into both collisions are continuing, with the driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old Christie Downs man, expected to be issued with an expiation notice.
Anyone who witnessed either of these incidents or has any dashcam footage is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or 1800 333 000.
